Information in your language

Welcome!

This is where you can find the most important information on waste disposal in your language.

Dustbins

There are 5 different kinds of dustbins in the administrative district of Ludwigsburg:

  • Bio-waste bin (in German: Biotonne)
  • Residual waste bin (in German: Restmülltonne)
  • Paper bin (in German: Papiertonne)
  • Packaging bin (in German: Gelbe Tonne)
  • Glass box or Glass bin (in German: Glasbox / Glastonne)

Information on separating recyclable materials

So that your bins can be emptied, please place them on the side of the road in front of your home as of 6 a.m. on the respective day of emptying. You can find out the dates on which your bins are emptied by looking in the waste calendar

Order your bins from our service centre at Hindenburgstr. 30, 5th floor, 71638 Ludwigsburg, during our opening hours (see below). Alternatively, you can also order your bins online. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our Service Centre. Maybe you have a neighbour or a friend who can help you fill out the form?

Charges

In the administrative district of Ludwigsburg, you pay a yearly charge for waste disposal. Besides that, there are charges for emptying the bio-waste bin (Biotonne) and the residual waste bin (Restmülltonne). You will be notified of the charges you have to pay by the Landratsamt Ludwigsburg in March every year. Please settle the invoice amount within the time limit given.

Bulky waste

We split bulky waste into 4 different groups:

  • Scrap metal: large items made of scrap metal such as bicycles, shelving or clothes racks
  • Large electrical appliances: e.g. refrigerators, washing machines, printers, monitors
  • Furniture wood: broken wooden furniture (interior furniture only) such as chairs, tables, desks
  • Residual bulky waste: movable objects, whether made of wood or scrap metal or not; even after a reasonable amount of breaking up, they do not fit into the residual waste bin, e.g. sofas, armchairs, mattresses, suitcases

Take your bulky waste to the recycling centre free of charge. You will need your recycling centre card for residual bulky waste, otherwise you will be charged.

You can find the opening hours of your nearest recycling centre here

Recycling centre card

The recycling centre card allows you to dispose of 10 m³ of residual bulky waste material free of charge at your recycling centre, divided over several visits. The card is valid from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.

The following restrictions apply:

  • A maximum of 5 m³ can be delivered per visit to the recycling centre
  • A single item must not weigh more than 50 kg
  • A single item must not be larger than 1.5 m x 2 m

You will receive the recycling centre card with the notification of the charges you have to pay from the Landratsamt Ludwigsburg in March. Keep it in a safe place.
